It is located in Hlotse, it is a unique cultural attraction that offers visitors an authentic experience of Basotho craftsmanship. The craft Centre provides employment and train Lesotho people including those with disabilities, while producing high-quality handmade items such as shawls, scarves, bags and traditional décor made 100% Lesotho wool and mohair. Tourists can watch live demonstrations of weaving, spinning and dyeing, while engaging with the artisans who share their skills and stories.
Subeng dinosaur footprint
It is located approximately 8km north of Hlotse town and its 9 minutes’ drive from Hlotse, near the village of Subeng in Leribe district, Lesotho. The Subeng site preserves fossilized dinosaur footprints that are estimated to be over 180 million years old, dating back to the early Jurassic period. These footprints were left in what used to be a muddy riverbed by several species of dinosaurs. These are well preserved natural fossils, providing evidence that Lesotho was once home to various dinosaur species.
